Mapp conducted an international market research study to identify the benchmarks and best practices in omni channel digital marketing. The digital customer engagement index analysed the digital marketing campaigns of the top 50 leading Ecommerce brands in the UK across three key channels of customer engagement: email, mobile apps and social media marketing. For each channel, the study subscribed to relevant communications, and monitored brand engagement, websites and apps.
Our study revealed that although almost all brands have email marketing capabilities, relatively few are taking user preferences, personalisation and optimisation across devices as seriously as they should.
