The Bralet
Sporty bandeaus, lacy bralets, teeny-tiny crop tops, sculptural cone bras and silky halternecks: this is the season of the bralet. Taken out of the boudoir and into everyday life, these pieces were styled over tops as playful layers or worn under tailored jackets and cut-away dresses. Jewelled embellishment, silky ruffles and bold prints made them the standout pieces of each look. The bralet has now earned a category of its own within brands’ Tops ranges.

State of the Art Shoes
Paris gave us the ultimate style solution when it comes to dressing up outfits: a shoe of interest. Saint Laurent turned gold stiletto heeled sandals into the chandeliers of footwear. At Loewe big floppy bows dressed up flat mules for day, at Valentino marabou trimmed satin heels. Chanel showed us how to do colour clashing with contrasting textures and prints and at Dior an animal print toe updated a classic court.

Catwalk Trends
A snippet of what the catwalks are telling us about next season.

Brocade
Brocade, a fabric usually associated with autumn/winter, is one of the many examples where we see the blurring of seasonal codes on the catwalks. An opulent textured fabric, its prevalence in spring/summer 2027 taps into the Rococo aesthetic, one we’ve already been experiencing across both 2026 seasons. At Saint Laurent the almost all-gold theme was channelled into opulent gold brocade shift dresses, as well as tailored jackets and ankle length trousers. At Dries Van Noten, a sporty pale pink jacket, gold bermuda shorts and a gold car coat all had a “glamorous but casual” feel thanks to brocade.
